Krissy Sellent with pet Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicKrissy Sellent is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been with us since September of 2000. She will be the first one in line to meet your dog and get a hello kiss from him or her. She is happily married to Brent, a local dairy farmer and they have three children, Bailey, Noah and Ian. Additional family members include a Labrador Retriever Mix named Zoey and two cats, Tiger and Hazmat. In her free time, Krissy enjoys coaching soccer and volleyball and swimming in Beaver Dam Lake.

Marie Sellent with pet Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicMarie Sellent is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined our team in July 2002. She is a strong advocate for our patients, whether she is contacting rescue organizations for pets in need of re-homing or talking to clients on how to recognize pain in their senior pets. She lives on a hobby farm with her husband Travis and their two children Hunter and Sara; they raise beef cows, chickens and geese. When Marie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family in activities such as geocaching, bike riding and watching the kids at their wrestling tournaments. Their family of pets includes a black Labrador Retriever named Buddy and two cats, Princess and Scooter. 

Kiersten Nowaczyk with pet Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicKiersten Nowaczyk is a receptionist at our Shell Lake office. She has worked in the veterinary field for eleven years and joined our team in November of 2008. She is beloved to staff and clients alike for being wonderful at her job. From comparing silly pet stories, troubleshooting why a puppy is not getting potty-trained or making sure a pet emergency is seen promptly, Kiersten is always here to help. She lives on a small homestead that is home to two horses, six dairy goats, forty poultry, ten barn bunnies, seven house rabbits, two Border Collies, three cats and a very lazy ferret. She is married to Bruce and has two daughters, Cheyenne and Brynn. In her free time, Kiersten volunteers countless hours in organizations including 4-H and the Washburn County Fair. Additionally, she is the creator and manager of Hare Transplant Rabbit Rescue, a non-profit organization whose goal is to re-home unwanted rabbits.

Brittney Grilley with pets Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicBrittney Grilley is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined our team in April 2009. In addition to her technical skills, Brittney has taken on numerous Human Resource duties. She loves interacting with staff and plays a key role in making our veterinary team like a family. Brittney is married to Rory and they have a precious baby girl named Eve and just recently welcomed their newest addition to the family, a baby boy named Emmett. Their furry "kids" include a rescued epileptic yellow Labrador Retriever named Skye and a boisterous adolescent black Labrador Retriever named Boone. The "kids" and babies are still working on figuring out whose toy is whose, but are enjoying playtime while they do!

Danielle Tarman Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicDanielle Tarman is our Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She joined our team in August of 2010. Danielle helps keep appointments on schedule and management organized. She loves caring for and playing with her feisty orange and white cat Jazmine. In her free time, Danielle enjoys reading, movies, organizing just about anything and activities with her brothers and their children.

Larinda Lang with pet Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicLarinda Lang
joined our team as a Veterinary Assistant in June 2016. She comes to us with a heart full of passion for all animals. From working with abused animals at the Humane Society of Barron County to assisting with nursing baby chipmunks back to health, she has years of animal experience. At our clinic, she stands out as the lover of the little dogs; give her a four-pound scared Chihuahua for a nail trim or a bossy Boston Terrier for an ear cleaning and she will get the job done and be full of doggie kisses by the end of the task. Larinda's family includes her boyfriend Derin, daughter Sarina and multiple canine and feline fur babies.

Jessica Slayton Northern Lakes Veterinary ClinicJessica Slayton is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined our team in August 2016. She graduated earlier in 2016 from Globe University with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. Jessica brings a calmness to our Shell Lake office with her soft voice and gentle hands. The animals love her as much as do her fellow staff members. At home she spends her time with her fiance Jacob and Bailey, her 3-year-old Boxer-Labrador Retriever mix.
